Few stretches of concrete can claim to be an international landmark, a Roman artefact, Europe’s busiest street, and a cultural and commercial hub all rolled into one. A microcosm of the world yet so uniquely itself. Shot between 2019-2025, ‘Oxford Street’ documents life and the passing of time along the strip between Marble Arch and Tottenham Court Rd. A place where commerce, leisure and faith collide in an endless loop, reinforcing our multiple singularity as mere mortals passing through. An overstimulating place even by London standards, the images attempt to compose the chaos, playing with time and reassembly for better understanding. Casting a seldom-applied empathetic eye on the landmark, while staying true to its rhythm and flow. And ultimately posing a question to the viewer: where is your place here? And in the wider world.
